The truth is, great wedding make-up starts with great wedding skin. However, as we all know, those pesky little break-outs love to rear their ugly black and white heads at the most inopportune times...like your wedding day. Here's a few quick guidelines for how to avoid the bursting volcano!
What's The Deal with Facials?
Facials give your skin some breathing room! A licensed aesthetician will be able to extract the clogs in your pores, alleviate any dull or dead skin cells lurking, and will uncover that glowy, dewy look to set your skin up for optimal wedding make-up results.
- If you are a facial loyalist, make sure the last one before your wedding is a week before the big day.
- If you've never had a facial, get one 3 months before your wedding. At a bare minimum, get a second one the week before the big day. If you'd like, however, you can do one once a month up to every 2-3 weeks depending on the suggestions from your aesthetician.
- Does your skin have some extra challenges? Make sure to start seeing a dermatologist 6 months to 1 year before your wedding day, and again add in those facials beginning 3 months out!
