One great thing about the holiday season is that you have an excuse to get dolled up and add that extra wow factor to your everyday look. Between the parties and festivities, you will need to step up your makeup game to show that you have the seasons cheer. Here are a few simple tricks for adding glam to your holiday makeup.
You cannot go wrong with glitter during the holiday season. Glitter eye liner, face highlighters with glitter infused, glitter eye shadows, glitter lipgloss...there are so many products you can choose from! My tip is to only choose ONE product with glitter. You don't want to look festive. Not like a disco ball!
A bold lip is the easiest way to get a great holiday look. The best part is, you can wear it without looking too over the top. Find the perfect red for you (I suggest Lace Cosmetics Matte Cherry Tart or Mandarin Red lipsticks). If you want a simple look, keep your eye makeup clean and light. For a bold look, add a subtle smokey eye.
A nice sultry smokey eye is an easy way to get the look you need for your holiday cocktail parties. A great trick to take your daytime makeup to night is to draw a heavy/thick line of eye liner over your top lash line (medium thickness below lower lashes). Take a blending brush and buff it from the lash line upwards. Next, pat a little eye shadow on top of the liner and you have a two-minute smokey eye.
By sweeping on a highlighting powder to illuminating cream, you will be adding a healthy, dewy look to your skin. This is also a great way to camoflage the look of dry skin as well. Two birds, one stone! Apply the highlighter to the top of the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose and above the cupids bow of your upper lip.
From Lace Cosmetics, we wish you a very happy and safe holiday season. We look forward to being your makeup experts in 2015.
