And The Reviews Are In!

brides
I just received three new reviews on Wedding Wire for my on-location Makeup Artistry.  Check out what my brides had to say!
5.0 out of 5.0
5.0/5.0
Amanda is amazing! I could not have asked for a better makeup artist. Her product is wonderful and stayed on all night. My face is very sensitive and I had no issues with the makeup. Her price is very reasonable and it was SO helpful that she could come to me. Her makeup enhances the features you want and hides what you don't while keeping you very natural. My new husband even commented on that. She is always on time or early and her communication is fantastic. She is willing to work around your schedule. She has a great attitude and is very easy to get along with. She listens to your wants and ensures that you are satisfied. I loved working with her and would 110% recommend her!

Amanda was amazing! She came to me for the trial run and the wedding day and was very flexible with scheduling. She also listened to exactly what I wanted and I loved my makeup!!

Amanda was GREAT as my wedding makeup artist! She was always quick to respond, and she is an absolute delight...so sweet and flexible...she just wants to make sure you're happy! I met with her a few months prior to my wedding for my trial, and we worked out a plan for the big day (she did a chart and took pictures). I even sent her some additional feedback later after spending a day in my makeup following the trial, and she made sure that I would love everything about it...which I did!

On the afternoon of my wedding, Amanda also ended up doing makeup for my mom and my husband's mom, and they both looked wonderful. I can't thank Amanda enough for her kindness and professionalism through the whole process...it can be a stressful chain of events leading up to your wedding, but she always made me feel at ease, and I'd definitely recommend her to others!

Pretty Stylish for Style Me Pretty

style me pretty One of the rewards of being a makeup artist is building relationships with my clients and staying in touch after my work is done.  One of my brides from this past year, Liz, has been absolutely amazing with writing reviews and recommending "Lace On-Location."  Recently, Liz's wedding was picked by the very popular wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, who featured her event by blogging it, posting pictures and crediting all of the vendors that she hand-picked for the biggest day of her life.  Being that this is a very trusted blog for brides everywhere, I was overjoyed to find out Liz made the cut!  To take a look at her Style Me Pretty article, click here.  Also, learn more about my work with Liz in a past blog post by clicking here!

Wedding Trend Hunter 2013

southboundbride-2013-wedding-trends-002 Not too long ago, we blogged about the 2013 Wedding Trends that you can be looking out for.  Now that engagement season is in full swing, I wanted to mention a few more of the trends we can look forward to seeing.

  • Cocktail tables are over, couples are going for reception lounges in a variety of styles!
  • Specialty musicians, like jazz trios, will be all the rage for pre-wedding events.
  • Loose, undone hair will be the biggest bridal beauty trend of 2013.
  • Next year’s hot reception trend will be “dinner party chic”
  • Gold will be everywhere in 2013
  • “Homestead chic” is an elegant outdoorsy alternative to the dinner party approach.
  • 1920′s glamour will be a hot trend for bridal gowns and beauty.
  • Accessories are the place to go for a bold pop of color!

Weekend Of Makeup

Happy Monday :)

I hope you all had an amazing weekend.  Mine was fantastic but it went by SO fast!  Here is a little photo diary of the chaos.

Over the weekend I had SEVERAL bridal trial runs.  It was madness in my office between scheduling weddings, trial runs, face charts, contracts, deposits.... needless to say, a spread sheet was born.

I worked in Demure Boutique where I sell Lace Cosmetics and met so many fabulous clients.  I also did a little outfit scouting...and by that I mean I tried on every outfit in the store.

Sunday I had a 6am call time for the Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders photo shoot.  3 makeup artists and 28 cheerleaders.  My brushes were on fire popping out one face after another.  I had a blast though, met so many awesome and talented women and got to work once again in the W Hotel in Downtown Atlanta.

After a crazy busy weekend, I came home and snuggled up with this lovely lady.  We snoozed and rested up for the week to come.

Life is good.
