My Night At Demure

Saturday evening, I met with a client at Demure where we sell Lace Cosmetics.  She had an event to go to and needed full makeup (wish I could have gotten a picture of her but she was in a hurry).  When I walked in, there was an awesome jewelry trunk show happening that featured two local vendors here in Atlanta.

The first jewelry line was called Niari Gifts by a very talented woman named Precious.  She makes very unique pieces of jewelry, headbands and other accessories.  You can check out more of her work by clicking here.

The second jewelry designer was Simone.  She has created an awesome line called 3 Love Designs.  Her pieces were so pretty and I literally tried on every ring she had. So. Cute. You can see more of her work by clicking here.

Simone also took the liberty of modeling some of Demure's clothing, shoes and her jewelry.  DA-DA-DA-DA-DIVA!

Oh yeah...and there was this guy.  He was our impromptu live entertainment for the night. Dancing Guy

Just as an FYI, my client I worked with is an awesome artist and is having a show on December 8th.  Below is a picture of the invite.  If you're in Atlanta, make sure to check her out.

A Photo Booth, A Jewelry Designer And A Makeup Artist

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend!  Mine was SO FUN!!  We really had a blast at our photo booth event at Demure Boutique on Saturday.  We had amazing clients, many friends stopped by and good times with the lovely ladies of Demure.  Here are a few snapshots from the event.

Here I am (right) with the lovely Laura Polmear of Laura Polmear Photography (left).  She was our photographer in the photo booth.  In these shots, we had to hand the camera over to Essence so I could have a few silly pics with my dear friend.

DIY? I did!

If there is something I love, it's a good "Do It Yourself" project.  I, along with the rest of America, am completely obsessed with the website Pinterest.  It is so easy to find great project ideas and I've replicated many which I have found on other members' boards.  For example, my jewelry was all OVER the place, so I figured I could fashion a nifty jewelry case and earring holder out of materials that I already had.  Here is what I created: For bracelets I used a vintage Coke bottle and stacked the jewelry on itself.  For earring holders, I used a mason jar and candle holder.  Most of the earrings are hung around the edges and the rest of the loose studs and pieces are inside the jars for safe keeping.  It is now easy to see and grab all of the pieces.

For my necklaces, rings and bracelets, I built a jewelry case and made a window in the front out of 4 wooden picture frames.  The knobs on the inside that the jewelry is hanging from are kitchen nobs that would be used on cabinets and drawers. I painted it an antique white and used a jewel toned satin fabric in the back to give it a pop of color.

Now all of my jewelry is easily accessible and on display!  Feels good to be organized...
