Wedding Wednesdays - Wanda

Last week I received photos of my bride Wanda from photographer Amy Halstead.  I absolutely loved working with Wanda and am so happy she contacted me after her previous makeup artist cancelled on her.  Yep, you heard that right. Her artist CANCELLED! Who does that?!  Not me!  That's why I have these pictures :) Enjoy!

Throwing on a few individual lashes.

A little mascara to finish them off.  Can you please take a second to look at her killer cheek bones?!  Love!

Happily getting a spritz of makeup setting spray.

And we have one happy and beautiful bride.

Wanda posing with her former model mother (because...obviously) who's makeup I also applied.

Here is the review Wanda left on The Knot:

AMANDA WITH LACE COSMETICS IS AMAZINGIf you want to look stunning on your wedding day, choose Lace Cosmetics/Lace on Location. Amanda made me feel like I was the most beautiful bride. She also did make-up for my bridesmaids and mother, and everyone loved her. She was always available for questions that arose via phone/text/email. She was on time and very professional. But, most of all...she did an IMPECCABLE job on my makeup! She was an absolute delight to work with! And I received a lip gloss from her line. This is the best lip gloss  I have ever owned!!

Tried and True for the Bride's "I Do"

Bride Kelly and Bridesmaids MakeupI had the pleasure of working with the fabulous bride, Kelly.  She is an absolutely lovely young lady who married the love of her life in Peachtree City, Georgia.  Kelly is one of those brides that stands out in my mind.  She was so calm the day of the wedding, though I could tell nerves were there when I counted her brushing her teeth six times.  She and her bridesmaids chatted, laughed and sang along with the mix of Taylor Swift songs that were playing in the Brides room while I did makeup for the Bride, Bridesmaids, Mothers and a few other family members.   This group was fun and full of love and energy which made for a perfect day.

Here is the sweet review that Kelly wrote for The Wedding Channel/ The Knot:

Amanda was Fantastic!Amanda was such a sweetheart! She was so easy to coordinate with and work with! She listened to exactly what my bridesmaids and I wanted for our makeup and she certainly delivered. I totally recommend her to any bride out there wanting to look amazing for your big day! The air brush makeup she uses feels as if you're not wearing any makeup at all and it lasts ALL night long! My girls and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Amanda!

Yesterday was such a fun day.  I went to Demure for the filming of a new reality show here in Atlanta.  I was so excited to learn that the lovely lady the show is based around attended Lace Cosmetics Launch Party!  Small world/city.  She was so kind and took a moment to mention Lace during filming.  Thank You, K!  Here is a snapshot I took.
After they wrapped, I got an email from Wedding Wire which informed me that I had a new Review.

Amazing Amanda! I can't say enough great things about her. My original makeup artist that I'd had booked for 7 months cancelled on me about 3 weeks before the wedding. I got in touch with Amanda through email and her response was super quick. We sheduled a trial run for a few days later. She even came to me at my Mom's house. My trial makeup was gorgeous!! We booked her on the spot! Wedding day --- Amanda was on time, and ready to go! In addition to me, she did the makeup for my 2 bridesmaids and my mom. It was an evening wedding and very formal so I wanted a pretty dramatic look. She worked with each girl to achieve their best look, and I must say everyone looked stunning! My makeup was even better than the trial! I couldn't have been more pleased. I got so many compliments on my makeup that night! Amanda was fun, and easy going. I will definitely use her again and recommend her to anyone in need of makeup! P.S. GET THE LASHES!! They are worth it! We all got them and they photograph beautifully and look natural.
I love my work and I love my brides :)  Blessed.

Beauty Buys That I Love

I always love to find beauty products that are great quality, must-haves and won't break the bank!  Here are some awesome money savers that I cannot live without, use every day, and recommend to you!

Shampoo and Conditioner: Organix Ever Straight Brazilian Keratin Therapy

$7.99 a piece, the Brazilian Keratin products make hair sleek, strong, healthy, gives beautiful shine and smells AMAZING!

Eye Lashes

These eye lashes are $1.99 and can be found in beauty supply stores.  They are VERY inexpensive, bend well, are easy to apply and look beautiful :)

Self Tanner: Versa Spa Sunless Pro Tanning Bronzer

This is my FAVORITE self tanner.  Versa sprays on with a fine mist and, no matter how pale you may be, WON'T  turn you orange!  The can is $50 and you can usually get about 6 full body sprays out of it.  That is a steal considering that just one spray in a Versa booth at a tanning salon is $50!  The can is definitely the way to go.

Organix Moroccan Argon Oil

This little guy is $7.99 and lasts forever!  All you need is a dime-sized amount. Run it through damp hair and you are completely protected from fly-aways. You lose the tangles, get a smooth texture and end up with fabulously shiny hair!

Lace Cosmetics True Black Eye Shadow

This eye shadow is $17.00 and is absolutely key.  Not only can you use it to achieve that sexy, smoky look, but if you're like me and love the "cat eye" look, use True Black as an eyeliner!  Just wet your eyeliner brush, dip it into the eye shadow and apply.   When applied wet it looks just like a liquid eye liner! Multi-purpose and amazing!

So these are just a few of the fabulous finds that I've come across. Leave your tried and true recommendations in the comments!
