Are you ready for a custom airbrush tan from a Lace Cosmetics artist?
Then make sure to use this handy timeline to ensure you achieve the best tan results possible!
If you do not follow this exactly, don’t sweat it. You will still have an awesome tan.
The day before
Shave or wax to remove unwanted body hair
Moisturize before bed to give an extra boost to your skin health
morning of your tan
Shower as normal, then exfoliate entire body (give extra attention to knees, elbows and other exceptionally dry areas) with an oil-free exfoliant to remove unwanted residues and return your skin to its cleanest state
DO NOT apply deodorant, makeup, fragrance oils, colognes, moisturizers as these can create barriers
Wear darker colors and avoid wearing hats, tight-fitting clothes, rough fabrics, or anything that will make you sweat after your spray tan
at your appointment
Remove makeup and deodorant (if you were a rebel and applied them earlier in the day)
Pull hair away from face and neck with a hair tie or hair clip
Artist will apply barrier cream to dry areas (cuticles, elbows, knees, feet)
Follow instructions given by your spray tan artist
AFter appt - before you rinse off
Avoid anything that will get your spray tan wet (exercising, swimming, hot yoga, rain, doing dishes)
DO NOT apply moisturizers, fragrances, makeup, deodorant, etc.
Try not to touch or rub your skin as this will transfer the solution to the palms of your hands (not a cute look)
When it is time to rinse, we suggest using water only. No soaps.
after appt - after you rinse off
Shower with gentle soaps
Pat skin dry with towel after shower
Extend your tan by using spray tan safe moisturizer or DHA-infused tan extender
Apply moisturizers after doing anything that could dry out your skin (working out, ocean water, hot tubs, chlorine pools, excessive sweating, etc.)
Your face will fade faster than the rest of your tan: use a DHA-infused tan extender to maintain a flawless, even tan. Apply at night before bed for best results.
Remember: Your tan will last longer the better you treat your skin!
